Look up look carefully (Watertower series) - Fragments Nr.1
Water towers form an imposing feature in many towns and cities across Vietnam. Water towers are buildings designed for the storage of potable water, ensuring continued supply during peak usage and emergencies, and connected to the wider supply network. Unlike reservoirs, the water is already treated, and supply can continue without power due to their height creating pressure. An often alien architectural presence, attracting attention with their great size and distinct shape, the water towers of Vietnam have strong personalities. Each tower tells its own story, and together the water towers represent the rising, falling and changing rulers and régimes of the country.
